It’s a great idea to get a MedsCheck Medication Review with your pharmacist once a year.
Who is it for?
If you are currently taking 3 or more prescription medications for a chronic ailment, you will benefit from a MedsCheck medication review. It’s free for all Ontario Health Card holders. If you are a caregiver for a family member, you can book a MedsCheck on behalf of them.
What is a Medication Review?
The MedsCheck review is a 20-minute consultation with the pharmacist to identify and address any issues with your prescription, non-prescription and herbal medications.
Questions about dosages, side-effects, managing your medications, taking them at the right time, drug interactions, etc.? Your medscheck review is where you’ll get answers. A follow-up consultation can also be scheduled.
How will I benefit?
Together with the Pharmacist, you’ll review the proper use of your prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins and supplements. The MedsCheck will help detect and resolve any medication-related problems you may be having. You’ll also get an up-to-date medication list to take to your doctor or the hospital.
